The hypnotic state is a very natural state for all human beings. In fact, we start and end each day in a hypnotic state. I am referring to the time in between wakefulness and sleep. Hypnosis is NOT sleep, but rather the dream-like state that by-passes the filter of the conscious mind. We are in a hypnotic state whenever we are engaged in familiar, repetitive behaviour. When we are in automatic behaviour we are letting the subconscious mind come to the forefront, and the conscious mind is relegated to the back.

Examples of such behaviour include: listening to familiar music, reciting prayers, dancing to a repetitive beat, even driving a familiar route.

Hypnotherapy is the process of guiding a client through a series of relaxation exercises that opens the subconscious mind to receive positive suggestions to enhance a client’s life

The human mind is powerful and very receptive to suggestion when relaxed in the ALPHA state.  Replacing negative messages with positive, affirming, productive and motivational messages can transform a person’s behaviour and allow them to become their personal best.  Shifting an attitude always changes behaviour.  A competent hypnotherapist helps the client shift their attitude by removing blocks that are obstacles to success.

Change your mind, change your life!
