Who uses Sports Hypnosis?
Every elite athlete uses sports hypnotherapy to give them an edge over their competitor. At the elite level, the margin of difference in the physical skill set amongst competitors is frequently infinitesimal. The ONLY improvement athletes can make to achieve champion status is to maximize their mental skill set for the day of the event.
Amateur athletes, sometimes known as “weekend warriors”, also want to be champions. They want to be champions within their family group, amongst their business associates, and with their social groups. Their physical skill levels may not be fully realized because of time constraints because nothing replaces practice.
However, EVERY amateur athlete can maximize their present performance levels by developing their mental skills. Every amateur athlete has a “best level of performance” that they would like to replicate on a consistent basis. Once consistency is achieved the athlete, regardless of level of competence is ready to move up.
As a sports hypnotherapist Greg works with highly motivated athletes to maximize performances in golf, racquet sports, bowling, basket ball, curling and skiing. “The level of my client’s personal best is immaterial. They all want to perform consistently at their optimum skill level.”
Leadership is determined by a number of factors. Physical attributes will open some doors… especially for people under thirty. However, as we mature mental acuity eclipses physical prowess very quickly! Although physical prowess is valued in the corporate world, leadership in the corporate world is primarily determined by intellect and character.
Corporate champions distinguish themselves by mental competence, not physical prowess. It is no accident that golf is the chosen sport of the corporate world. Here are the facts about golf:
Fact: Most golfing experts believe that golf is 10% physical and 90% mental.
Fact: 90% of golfers focus on the physical aspects of the game.
Fact: Elite athletes use sports hypnosis to maximize their performance.
Yes, that includes Tiger Woods!
Fact: Every sport, especially golf, has a huge mental component.
Listen to Olympians de-briefing after an event…they always speak about their cerebral head space. They speak about how they were feeling before the event and during the event!
After you have practiced, practiced, practiced then the final performance is in the athlete′s head.
