Fear of Exams
Exams are stressful…get use to it! Stress can be a motivator and can provide you with the energy to sustain yourself as your brain works in over-drive to complete the tasks at hand in an exam situation.
But, releasing too much stress hormone during an exam can prevent a student from performing at the level he or she is most capable of.
The fear of writing exams is not solely rooted in the exam day. Fears of the examination process usually start in childhood when the young student had to face a test situation where the outcome was a disappointment. The actual testing situation is not a problem so much as the future outcome. The student is unhappy with the present result and they ultimately fear a similar outcome in a future exam.
At Hypno Coach, Greg coaches students how to set academic goals that are compelling and motivating. Appropriate goals increase focus and concentration. In the second session students learn powerful time management techniques. Students learn how to become critical thinkers as they study with the purpose to succeed. In a follow-up session students learn how to erase unfounded fears in the exam room, clearing their mind of destructive, self-limiting beliefs. This allows students to recall and apply knowledge quickly and easily during the exam process. Cross the finish line a winner. Achieve your academic goals.
